WHO WE ARE

Liesl Venter , News Manager

Former Citizen and The Times News Editor, Liesl Venter has more than 12 years experience in print media as a reporter and news editor. Liesl holds a BA Honours degree in Communication from the University of the Free State and started her career in journalism in the early nineties with the Afrikaans Daily Beeld. Liesl gained experience as a reporter covering a wide and diverse range of stories. In 2004 she became news editor at The Citizen where she formed part of the executive team responsible for the daily editing of the newspaper gaining valuable experience before joining The Times where she was part of the management team responsible for the launch of the new daily for the Avusa group.
