WHO WE ARE
Bongiwe Mlangeni
Bongiwe has more than 13 years experience in the field of communication and media management. She gained expertise in providing strategic counsel to organizations through her communications work at a United Nations agency based in Geneva. Her experience includes communications strategy develop¬ment, lobbying and advocacy, publishing and media relations. As a journalist, she worked in both print and electronic media. In her position as senior writer at the Sunday Times, she focused on editing the paper's opinion pages as well as writing analytical features and columns. Before that she was a television producer at the SABC, covering African politics. Her desire to tell stories of Af¬rican women led her into a career in journalism, beginning at the Independent Newspapers in 1994. Her passion for social development has seen her volun¬teer her services in various youth programmes, offering life skills training.
